The Anritsu MS4647A VectorStar VNA establishes a new performance benchmark for S-parameter measurements of RF, Microwave, and Millimeter wave devices. This single setup enables comprehensive analysis including S-parameter performance across frequency ranges, time domain matching with up to 70 GHz bandwidth resolution, and gated performance at specific device locations. The system also supports narrow band analysis with additional capabilities such as group delay and frequency response measurements.
VectorStar incorporates a powerful microprocessor and custom DSP high-speed data link for rapid data transfer. Utilizing direct memory access and deep memory buffers, it achieves fast frequency stepping while managing extensive data sets. The VNA optimizes broadband dynamic range through harmonic sampler architecture and Non-Linear Transmission Line (NLTL) technology, substantially minimizing harmonic roll-off to provide superior dynamic range at high frequencies.
